A Fishing Experience
When you buy your new Skipjack, we can take you on an all encompassing fishing expedition – from leaving the slip at Newport Dunes Marina at 4:00 am in the early morning, to picking up fresh bait from the bait barge at the harbor entrance, catching mackerel bait with sabikis, to a high speed run for an hour or so to the prominent 277 (popular fishing spot in the Pacific) or to wherever the fish might be that day!
Then we'll show some useful tricks of locating fish with binoculars, radar, and/or fish finders - running out to the boils, hooking up, fighting the fish, gaffing, reeling it in, gutting, and finally icing the catch!
It’s not over, as there may still be some nice fishing to be had on the way back to the slip! Everything considered, a great fishing experience with experienced fishermen and once you’ve fished on your new Skipjack, you will understand why we've designed all the great features into our line of boats that you now can take advantage of while fishing on your own or with your firends and family.
Why SKIPJACK?
Skipjack has been a leader in southern California because of its "Flybridge".
OK....what is a flybridge. The area above the main interior and situated on top of the boat. This area contains controls, to include steering, throttle, shifting and other switches. The elevated control position offers much better visibility with a 360 degree all around view, which is crucial for navigating safely in all conditions.
This vantage point allows drivers and passengers to spot hazards and other vessels more easily, especially when waves obstruct the line of sight.
